What Can It Do For You?
A dental implant is actually an artificial root, usually made of titanium,
which serves as an anchor for a replacement tooth. They can be used to replace
as few as one missing tooth and using several implants, all the missing teeth
can be replaced. Fortunately, we do not need an implant for each missing
tooth.
The teeth that attach to the implant can be either snap-on removable
(removed by you, the patient) or fixed (non-removable), depending on desires
and the number of implants used for support.
